Topic: Intro to positive psychology – the science of happiness
Have you ever wondered about what really makes you happy? What are some of scientifically proven ways to impact our level of happiness? Why do we sometimes miss out to have more engagement, presence and enjoyment in our life..and how to avoid that trap? How can we, through small and simple changes, build in more happiness and joy into our days? In this 2 h introduction workshop we will explore all these topics in an engaging and interactive way. You will leave with better understanding of what are true sources of your happiness and with many practical ideas, tips and tricks on how to infuse a bit more of happiness into your everyday life and work.
Trainer: Mirna Smidt
Mirna is an interpersonal skills trainer and a coach in love with the development of own and others peoples’ skills, in new experiences and travel and full of positive energy. In parallel with her IT career in advanced technologies she acquired over 10 years of experience in training during which she has collaborated on numerous international learning projects and with many companies in diverse industries. Mirna completed postgraduate studies in Applied Positive Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, NLP Masters practitioner and a range of coaching and training related educations. She is the founder of Happiness Academy www.happiness-academy.eu, an initiative through which she is designing and delivering a broad range of positive psychology educational events and materials. Mirna also started Trainers’ Toolbox www.trainers-toolbox.com, a project through which she is developing creative tools for trainers and coaches.

Trainer: Florian Heinrichs
Florian is a soft skills trainer with a focus on communication and group dynamics. He started his trainer path as volunteer in the Erasmus Student Network and quickly became certified as a trainer by the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK). After studying mathematics in Bochum (Germany) and Barcelona (Spain), Florian is currently working on his Ph.D. thesis in mathematical statistics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Over the last years, he facilitated trainings all over Europe, combining analytical thinking with experiential learning.
Topic: Life Design: Design Thinking applied to everyday life
Taking life too seriously can be deadly. What is a life well-lived? How can you understand what a well-lived life is for you? How can you create it, embody it, play it, love it, and, most importantly, live it? During these three hours, we will focus on an experiential understanding of ourselves and understand deeply what the lives we would love will practically look like; be ready to be surprised.op.
Trainer: Valeriya Boyko
Valeriya comes from the deserted lands of wild eastern Ukraine, currently settled in the hipster hotspot of the world – Berlin. She is trained in Communications and Psychology, learning about Chomsky’s ideas on propaganda, human development and learning. She is an expert in non-profit management, and up to date remains the youngest graduate of UCU Institute of Leadership and Management in it’s 25 years history. Valeriya is working for European Youth Parliament, an organisation that engages 35 000 active volunteers annually.
She has background in consulting deep-tech startups. In past, Valeriya has designed and delivered trainings to clients such as cashiers of a retail company with 10000 employees, to trainers of a business consulting company and executives of NGOs working with refugee crisis.
